2016 Fellow John Ryan, Democratic Deputy Chief Counsel at U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will be taking a four month leave of absence starting on October 8, 2017 to enter the Direct Commission Officer Course for the United States Army JAG Reserve. Following his training at FT. Benning and Charlottesville, John will be based in Gaithersburg, MD as a First Lieutenant in the 10th Legal Operations Detachment.
