Aya works in the Financial Regulatory Authority as a Sustainable Finance specialist, where she proposes and handles regulation drafts in areas, including sustainable finance agenda and supporting the green economy transition in Egypt.
Additionally, Aya is a fellow of the Yousef Jameel fellowship and completing her Master’s degree at the American University in Cairo (AUC) in Public Policy. Aya had an outstanding sports career as a former professional athlete as a member of the Egyptian National Karate Team for several years as well as being a state-level athletics medalist.
